How about wakeboarding? We rode yesterday on Lake Houston. Water is warmer than it wsa this time last year. Just us and the Lake Patrol and a kayaker. Unfortunately for the kayaker he was parked in the smooth water...

It may sound kinda lame, but is anyone interested in a meet and greet kinda thing?  Maybe we could make some name tags, with different colors for different sections of town that people live in.  Put our real name and our board names on the tag and just get together for a few drinks.  We could make it at a place where all ages are allowed.

We were down in the lake actually right in front of Deussen Park. We got out around noon and the wind was strong out of the south. '02 Supra SS.

Bowling sounds good. I saw Schlitterbahn's advertise indoor area open in the winter. Since we are all water people, how about go there? maybe a group rate discount? Something family oriented would definitely be good.

X2

And the bowling, paintball and/or D&B would be cool to get together since it might be a little cold to hit the water for some ppl

O btw would be nice to do it during the weekend....no school for kids and no.waking up early for some us......i get up at 1am :(

Bowling at D&B. Gives a central place to hang and other things for kids or non-bowlers.

We talked about having some periodic board meeting  that would be open to all GCWA members to solicit ideas (great idea, Jeff). D&B may be a good place to combine that meeting and then event afterwards.
Hey Ma, if you could see me now... arms spread wide flipping over the open bow

I think bowling would be cool! A lot of the Dallaswakeboarding crew started some beer and pizza leagues in the winter when I was there.

Also video viewing parties at local bars, like the one in Pearland that was cool.

And....its really not that cold, grab a wetsuit and make a GCWA day at one of the cable parks for a day.

OK, I think a quarterly GCWA video awards meeting would be rockstar. Have the new site accept videos and photos for a number of categories each quarter. Then have a get together to view the winning footage/photos. Kinda a running tournament for riding in your own time. Have a couple classes. Do one for kids, Learning a new trick, best trick etc.
